Amar Mukunda

Amar Mukunda is an entrepreneur and soldier in the Army Reserve with a master’s degree in engineering from Stanford. In 2019, Amar lost a loved one to addiction. So he went to work, helping lead Maryland’s largest gun violence and addiction prevention program—finding housing for youth, mediating conflicts, and advocating for safer communities. Born and raised in Montgomery County, he’s running to reclaim our democracy, make the American Dream affordable, and guarantee safe, gun-free schools for all.
