Meron Yohannes

Meron Yohannes was born and raised in Herndon and is running for Town Council to make it economically stronger, more inclusive, and better connected. As Vice Chair of the Planning Commission, she's championed smart growth, town revitalization, and small businesses. Simultaneously, she served the Biden Administration, focusing on economic development and equity at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Now, Meron is ready to go from appointed advisor to elected decision-maker to shape the town that has shaped her.
