Angela Demas

Angela is an Elections Specialist at the Delhi Township Clerk’s Office, residing in Meridian Township. She focuses on combating AI interference in elections by overseeing testing of voter tabulators and verifying absentee ballots. Angela graduated from Okemos High School in 2020 and earned her B.A. from Michigan State University in 2023. She has held various leadership positions, including serving as a representative for the Alliance of Queer and Ally Students with the Associated Students of Michigan State University (ASMSU) and acting as the Professional Chairwoman for Delta Phi Epsilon Professional Foreign Service Sorority, MU Chapter. Angela has also worked with Michigan Democratic leaders like Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Sen. Curtis Hertel on communications, field, and research. Passionate about creating a thriving community in Meridian Township, Angela is committed to safeguarding democracy, combatting disinformation, and promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She has actively participated in voter registration and get-out-the-vote campaigns, striving to enhance transparency in the voting process. As Meridian Township clerk, Angela aims to ensure efficient elections and protect taxpayer resources. With recent statewide election law changes, Angela's goal is to provide voters with comprehensive information on key election aspects such as voter registration and early voting procedures.
