Edafe Okporo

Edafe, a community organizer and migrant rights activist based in New York City, is a candidate for the New York City Council. He previously served as the Executive Director of the city’s premier asylum seeker shelter and currently leads Refuge America, focusing on refugee integration. Dedicated to advocacy for affordable housing and social justice, Edafe strives to empower marginalized communities in New York.

Known for his leadership, Edafe is a prominent figure representing the underprivileged. He earned a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from NYU.
