Thomas Ray Garcia is running for the Texas State Board of Education because he believes every student deserves a high-quality education. Throughout his 12 years of experience in K-12 and higher education, Thomas has taught in the classroom and spearheaded programs focused on college readiness and family engagement. He is the educator who will fight for public schools, improve children’s reading and math education, and prepare graduates for the 21st-century workforce.
