Kari Bloom
2020 Endorsement
From the very first time she went into a juvenile detention facility, Kari knew that she found her place in the world, and that someday she would run for Juvenile Court Judge. When Kari was a law student, she worked at the Children’s Law Center taking cases on behalf of incarcerated kids for fair treatment in the Department of Youth Services, as well as with parents and educators in an effort to end the school to prison pipeline. She has worked as a trial attorney, representing children and adults charged with misdemeanors and felonies. Kari's client-centered focus means that she cares about each person she represents.
Kari has spent her career as a public servant, first working for the United States Air Force where she learned how to negotiate budgets and contracts, then for the Hamilton County Public Defender and Ohio Public Defender offices. She values hard work and the opportunity to encourage change and progress. She currently lives in the Mt. Adams neighborhood of Cincinnati with her fiance, Nick, and their dog, Winston.
