Andrea Cazales

Dr. Andrea Cazales is running for Durham City Council Ward 1 because she believes that healthy communities are the foundation for thriving families, strong economies, and civic life. A doctorally trained nurse raised by Mexican immigrant parents, she brings values of listening, evidence-based thinking, compassionate courage, and hard work to her vision for youth investment, resilient infrastructure, and defending communities under attack. She’s fighting to make Durham not just the City of Medicine but a City of Healing.
