Staci Childs

Staci is a full-time attorney and educator defined by her commitment to service, defending the rights of others, and success in the classroom. She’s running for the State Board of Education, District 4, a district comprised of 1.8 million students, running to address gaps caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, creating a curriculum that sets students up for success in real life, and ensuring an inclusive classroom experience for all students. As one of Houston Independent School District’s 2019 Teacher of the Year, Staci went on to create GirlTalk University, a now nationally recognized program designed to instill confidence and high academic achievement in girls. Staci lives in Houston, Texas with her Sunday-Funday besties, her significant other, and her fur-son, Boseman.
