David Plotts

David believes education is a fundamental right for all children. He's running for Wicomico County Board of Education, District 4, to address attracting and retaining educators, increasing student and staff mental health support, full implementation of Pre-Kindergarten programs, increasing graduation rates and career readiness, and ensuring an inclusive classroom experience for all students. As a father of four children currently in the district, he has a unique insight to how the schools, educators, and support staff excel, and the opportunities for improvement.

David is an experienced leader who has served as Chair of the City of Salisbury's Parks and Recreation Committee since 2014, working to expand parks and recreation opportunities to all citizens. His other community service, which includes serving on the City of Salisbury's Environmental Policy Task Force, the Wicomico County Charter Review Committee, and the Wicomico County Board of Education's Parent Advisory Committee, has provided him with knowledge of the issues of Wicomico County residents and how to serve his constituents.

David is a graduate of Wicomico County schools, holds a BS from Salisbury University, and a MS from University of Maryland University College. He lives in Salisbury, Maryland with his wife and four children.
