Travis Austin

Travis, a UW-Madison graduate who is pursuing his Master’s of Public Affairs, is a dedicated Dane County resident. With a background in the UW Marching Band, Travis brings a passion for community involvement to his various roles. As a volunteer with the Badger Boys State program and a youth and high school hockey referee, he displays a commitment to serving others. Travis's leadership extends to advocacy work as the Co-Chair of the UW-Health HIV Comprehensive Care Community Advisory Council, where he influences HIV policy at the county and state levels.

Having previously served as a town board member and with a unique perspective from living in both urban and rural areas of Dane County, Travis is well-equipped to address the diverse needs of the community. His unwavering dedication to social justice is evident in his past advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community, despite facing opposition.

With a strong sense of integrity and a track record of standing up for marginalized groups, Travis is prepared to bring positive change to the Dane County Board of Supervisors.
