Kaila Stovall

Kaila is an educator and a mother of four. Her kids are/will be students in Comal ISD and they are biggest reason why she is running for a seat on the Board of Trustees. While her own kids have given her the drive to run, they are not the only reason she is doing this. As an educator, Kaila knows all too well what teachers have gone through and what they are still going through since the pandemic started. She wants to ensure teachers and the support staff that directly influence students success are paid appropriately and given the respect they deserve. Kaila also knows if we want student success, we need to listen to and be supportive of those people in the classrooms, lunchrooms, busses, and hallways of our schools because they know exactly what is going on and what needs to be addressed.

Kaila has lived in New Braunfels for seven years and loves the diversity of cultures and voices. To make sure ALL voices are heard within Comal ISD, she wants to promote more accessibility for community members when it comes to regular school board meetings and transparency with our budgeting plans. She also wants to encourage town hall meetings where there can be respectful discourse between board members and constituents. Kaila knows we must not only listen but respond to questions and concerns if we want our district to be a place where students love to be and teachers want to stay.
