Tamillia Valenzuela

Tamillia is a fierce poderosa holding space for our community to come together and utilize our power by creating inspirational educational spaces where youth thrive and develop leadership skills. Tamillia is a wife and mother who has lived in Arizona for 12 years. She proudly identifies as part of the Black, Latino, and LGBTQ communities and has worked with these and other underrepresented groups to find and use their voice. She is passionate about education and its ability to uplift individuals and neighborhoods. Tamillia believes that good school leaders demonstrate empathy, create and nurture inclusive environments, and demonstrate a belief that all students can and will succeed!
