Jo Ella Hoye

Kansas House, District 17, KS

2022 Endorsement

Jo Ella is running because she wants to stop the gun violence crisis. She is a champion for the safety and well-being of children and families and will keep pushing for policies that would provide relief for all Kansans, like eliminating the Food Sales Tax. Jo Ella works to advance meaningful legislation to support the best public schools, adopt responsible budgets, make sure that all Kansans have access to health care and affordable prescription drugs, and pass sensible gun laws that save lives.

Jo Ella graduated from Cornell College and completed her Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Kansas. As a stay-at-home-parent to her son, William, she had the opportunity to become a full-time advocate and use her background in professional local government management to benefit a growing gun violence prevention movement: Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. William is now entering the fifth grade and is “proud to have a mom that is making Kansas be a better place by helping in the Kansas House of Representatives.”
