Sara Lashanlo

Sara is a mechanical engineer, an advocate for global progress, and a candidate for San Ramon City Council. She acknowledges that she has the opportunity to elevate voices and bring to light the issues that deserve representation and a platform. She intends to take advantage of that opportunity. She will use her training as a mechanical engineer alongside her experience volunteering for grassroots political issues to foster a more technical, productive, and solutions-oriented approach to political functions.

Sara is fueled by her desire to see everyone live the most prosperous and liberating lives with maximum opportunity to learn and grow. Sara is a logic-driven and values-driven candidate. She knows that it is possible to conserve and protect the earth, while optimizing our resources to ensure safe and healthy living for all people. We can welcome new homes and humans into communities without increasing crime or traffic. We can minimize inequities without stunting opportunity and personal liberation. Sara also hopes to increase transparency, public knowledge, and participation in the local political process.
