Sarah Luhtanen

Sarah is a 14-year resident of Bentonville and has worked as an educator in Rogers and Bentonville public schools. She taught English and sponsored student advocacy and service groups, showing the power and importance of amplifying young people’s voices in creating change.

After teaching in-person and virtually during the 2020-2021 school year and knowing how the COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated challenges for Northwest Arkansas families, Sarah decided to leave the classroom to explore other opportunities to serve the community. As a Benton County Justice of the Peace, she will work to ensure that all families have access to affordable housing, transportation, and economic opportunities. Sarah enjoys the natural beauty and arts scene of Benton County and shares this love with her husband, Reed, and their two children.
