Amanda Hemmingsen-Jaeger

Amanda has a passion for advocating, equity, and doing the right thing. She is an active member of the community and builds relationships with her involvement in various community groups. Her strong background in science and public policy allows her to evaluate any policies fully and comprehensively before voting to implement them.

Amanda believes in bringing multiple perspectives together to advocate for working families. She will do this by addressing climate change, investing in education, and championing healthcare. Her work with the Metro Transit Gold Line Community and Business Advisory Committee and MetCouncil Transportation Advisory Board has led her to think about transportation and climate change.

As a union leader, Amanda knows the power of people coming together to bring positive change. Amanda is a member of the Woodbury for Justice and Equality organization to help be a voice for marginalized groups in her city. Finally, as a trained scientist who went back to school for a degree in policy, Amanda understands how to break down technical information that creates smart policy.
