Jane Harrison

Jane is an experienced economic and community development leader, and tireless advocate for her neighbors. With a career in public service, Jane believes that better decisions are made when all voices are at the table. As Raleigh grows, Jane won’t leave people behind.

Community-led development, affordable housing, and environmental stewardship are Jane’s priorities. She is a proponent of economic growth that benefits ALL of Raleigh’s residents. Jane has a progressive vision and will push for thoughtful, common sense solutions across the city. She knows our future starts today.

As an environmental economist and scientist, Jane helps communities across North Carolina safeguard natural resources and make smart, long-term investments in infrastructure. Her professional experiences have taught her that we can plan for a sustainable and inclusive future for generations to come. She serves as co-chair of the West Raleigh Community Advocacy Council, bringing attention to proposed land use changes and neighbor needs in District D. Jane is a professor at NC State University and has made a home in Raleigh with her husband Doug and puppy Willow.
