Yvette Romero

As the daughter of a working-class Mexican family, Yvette knows firsthand the importance of engaged and compassionate adults and the availability of key resources to support kids to realize their dreams. Inspired by the teachings of her family, she became an educator and a social worker and has spent the last 15 years working to ensure access, promote equity, and foster a sense of belonging for everyone. Yvette is running for office in the city and district where she grew up. Informed by community needs, she will remain focused on collective recovery from COVID through mental health resources, community engagement, and renewable energy initiatives.
