Charlene Wang

Charlene Wang represents Oakland City Council District 2. Growing up amid domestic violence and poverty shaped her belief that government must work urgently and equitably for people in crisis. She has spent her career reforming broken systems in housing, homelessness, transportation, education, and environmental justice. On the Council, she is focused on public safety, housing affordability, small businesses, and opportunity for every Oaklander.
