Brianna Foraker

Brianna, a passionate educator and union organizer, draws inspiration from her upbringing in a household led by strong women who championed social justice. With a background in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, she advocates for equal access to educational opportunities. Running for the Ferndale Library Board, Brianna aims to safeguard libraries as vital public resources.

An active member of the Friends of the Ferndale Library, Brianna believes in expanding library services through innovative funding solutions and strategic partnerships. With expertise in budgeting and resource management, she plans to enhance offerings and introduce new social services and mutual aid initiatives.

Recognizing the importance of diverse and inclusive literature, Brianna, a queer woman, is committed to maintaining LGBTQ+ materials and cultivating a welcoming environment for all patrons and staff. Her dedication to anti-bias education and multicultural literature underscores her mission to advocate for marginalized communities in the library space.
