Russet Perry

Russet is a public servant and candidate for State Senate in Virginia's 31st District. With over a decade of experience living and working in Loudoun County, Russet has dedicated her career to advocating for those in need. She served as a prosecutor in the Loudoun County Commonwealth's Attorney's office, fighting for victims of domestic assault, rape, child abuse, and murder, and was involved in the mental health and drug court dockets. Russet also worked as a CIA Officer, collaborating with individuals of diverse ideologies to protect American citizens and democracy. Russet's upbringing, with financial struggles and parents who were public school teachers, made her passionate about advocating for working families, affordable healthcare, fully-funded public schools, and the underrepresented.

Russet is running for State Senate to continue her advocacy for the 31st District and all Virginians. Her election could play a significant role in Democrats' retaining the majority in the Virginia Senate, which serves as a firewall against Governor Youngkin's extreme policies. Russet's platform includes protecting access to reproductive care, ensuring high-quality public schools, and safeguarding the environment.
