Justis Gibbs

Justis is a licensed attorney, a proud member of the Democratic Party, and a passionate advocate for the inclusion of young people in Mississippi's governmental system. With a focus on fully funding public education, restoring voting rights, and ensuring equitable distribution of state funding to legislative districts in need, Justis is dedicated to championing these important causes as State Representative for Mississippi House District 72.

From an early age, Justis has been committed to public service. Serving as president of local organizations, Justis helped establish the first library nook in the Henley-Young-Patton Juvenile Detention Center. In addition, Justis has worked as a student Attorney for the George C. Cochran Innocence Project, a crucial initiative that seeks to overturn wrongful convictions within the state.

Justis's passion and dedication to his community extend beyond legal work. As a participant in the 2023 Leadership Greater Jackson cohort, Justis is actively engaged in the growth and development of Jackson, Mississippi.

Throughout his career, Justis has demonstrated a deep understanding of the importance of effective leadership and excellent constituent service. If elected as State Representative, he will strive to maintain strong working relationships within the Mississippi Capitol to effectively represent his constituents.
