Joanna Garren

Joanna is a dedicated community member with deep roots in Everett. As a devoted stay-at-home mom of two special needs children, she understands the importance of building strong connections within her community. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Hartford and a Master's of Art Therapy from Albertus Magnus College, Joanna possesses a unique blend of artistic skills and a passion for helping others.

Joanna's commitment to making a positive impact goes well beyond her immediate family. She has an impressive background of community service, including ten months of rebuilding communities devastated by Hurricane Katrina with the AmeriCorps NCCC program. This experience exposed her to the challenges faced by those affected by natural disasters and further fueled her desire to contribute to the betterment of society.

Throughout her years in Everett, Joanna has actively served on numerous boards, contributing her expertise and creative insights. She has played an integral role on the boards of organizations such as Integral Arts Everett and the Everett Food Policy Council. Her active participation reflects her commitment to fostering a vibrant, inclusive community where everyone can thrive.

Currently, Joanna serves as a valued board member of the Everett Arts and Cultural Council. In this role, she continues to champion the importance of the arts in enhancing the community's cultural landscape.
