Naveen Havannavar

Naveen is a highly experienced technology manager who is deeply connected to the Pittsford community. Alongside his wife and two children, he shares a strong dedication to the town's vibrant culture and exceptional education system. With an impressive background of over 20 years leading diverse engineering teams at renowned companies, Naveen utilizes his expertise to make valuable contributions to the community he calls home.

Naveen's commitment to societal growth is evident in his leadership roles. As Chairperson at the India Community Center and Councilmember of the recently established NY State's Hate & Bias Prevention Unit, he actively works to address pertinent social issues. In recognition of his outstanding achievements, Naveen has been honored as a recipient of Rochester's Forty Under 40 award.

Driven by a desire to improve the educational landscape, Naveen actively engages in his children's schooling and as a graduate of Leadership Rochester, he is passionate about leveraging his skills for the betterment of Pittsford. His key areas of focus include enhancing technological infrastructure, promoting economic development, strengthening public safety measures, and advocating for environmental sustainability.

Beyond his professional and civic commitments, Naveen finds joy in pursuing other interests. He relishes the opportunity to engage his creative side through acting. Furthermore, he finds solace in piloting single-engine airplanes, giving him a unique outlet for relaxation and adventure.
