Chris de Barrena-Sarobe

Chris is a seasoned career prosecutor who possesses a strong commitment to safeguarding the community. With a noteworthy track record, Chris commenced his prosecutorial journey at the Chester County District Attorney's Office back in 2009. However, in 2015, he ventured into federal prosecution and assumed a role as a federal prosecutor in Delaware. During his tenure, he diligently investigated and prosecuted various criminal cases, including social security fraud, high-level drug trafficking, kidnapping, and other violent offenses. Chris's outstanding performance did not go unnoticed, as Assistant United States Attorney General Kenneth A. Polite, Jr. personally selected him and his team to receive the prestigious 2022 Distinguished Service Award. This accolade serves as a testament to their exemplary work on a significant cartel-related kidnapping case.

Now, Chris is poised to utilize his extensive experience as District Attorney and handle cases with integrity, while prioritizing fairness and thoughtfulness. In collaboration with law enforcement agencies, Chris intends to bolster efforts to safeguard our children and curtail gun trafficking and violence. Recognizing that the role of a District Attorney extends beyond the courtroom, Chris is also committed to strengthening the bond between the community and local police departments. By introducing and enhancing community programs, Chris aims to foster a harmonious relationship that promotes safety and trust.

A graduate of Temple Law, Chris resides in Willistown, PA, together with his wife and two daughters.
