Carlo Franco

Carlo is a passionate and driven individual who is deeply rooted in his community as a fourth-generation West Sider, Chicano, youth worker, and change-maker. With a desire to make a positive impact, he is currently running for the Saint Paul School Board.
Having graduated from Humboldt High School, Carlo's academic achievements speak for themselves. In 2013, he was honored as the valedictorian of his graduating class, showcasing his dedication and commitment to education. As a first-generation college graduate, he obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Child Psychology and Leadership from the prestigious University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
Carlo's leadership qualities have been evident in his work with the City of Saint Paul. He has played a pivotal role in empowering the youth and teens in the community through his involvement in various initiatives, such as community centers, youth leadership programs, recreational activities, youth employment programs, and public schools. His dedication to building connections has allowed him to touch the lives of individuals in every neighborhood in the city.
Currently, Carlo holds the position of Youth Engagement & Training Manager for the City of Saint Paul, where he continues to work towards creating opportunities for young individuals. He also serves as the President of the West Side Boosters Youth Sports Organization and sits on the Board of Directors for Neighborhood House. Moreover, he has been appointed as the Chair of the Movimiento (Latino) DFL Caucus and as a Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity commissioner for the City of Saint Paul.
Carlo's experience, academic background, and extensive community involvement make him a strong candidate for the Saint Paul School Board. His passion for ensuring every student receives a quality education, coupled with his commitment to empowering youth, positions him as a true advocate for the community.
