Julio is a dedicated advocate for education and student support in the Greater Lawrence area. As a lifelong resident of Lawrence, Julio understands the unique challenges faced by students in the community and believes that every student deserves access to a high-quality education, as well as physical and mental health resources.

Born at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, Julio grew up in a close-knit family alongside his mother and stepfather, Felicia and Odalin, and his sister, Alicia. Currently, Julio serves as a Special Assistant to Mayor Brian A. DePeƱa of Lawrence, Massachusetts, where he actively participates in various community organizations. His involvement spans a wide range of groups, including the Massachusetts Education Justice Alliance, Merrimack Valley YMCA, Semana Hispana en Lawrence, and the Merrimack Valley Project, to name just a few.

Julio's academic journey began in Lawrence Public Schools, where he received a solid foundation for his future success. Recently, he proudly graduated from Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School in Methuen, and he now embarks on his undergraduate studies at Bentley University. His chosen majors, International Affairs and Business Studies, reflect his passion for global issues and his desire to make a positive impact on both local and international levels.

With his deep commitment to education and community service, Julio is driven to advocate for the rights and well-being of students in the Greater Lawrence area. Through his leadership and determination, he hopes to foster a supportive and inclusive educational environment that empowers students to thrive.
