Mandi, a resident of Iowa City, brings a unique perspective to her work as a student, renter, small business owner, and single parent. Through her experiences, she has come to understand the vital importance of eliminating barriers and ensuring that all members of the community have equal access to opportunities and resources that are necessary for their success. For Mandi, accessibility extends beyond physical infrastructure and encompasses areas such as affordable housing, food security, transportation, and services.

Drawing from her extensive experience as a member of various influential committees at the University of Iowa and the municipal level, as well as her role as the founder and director of the Corridor Community Action Network, Mandi has consistently proven her ability to bring people together and facilitate meaningful change. She has successfully fostered collaboration among numerous organizations and individuals across the city, the corridor, and even the state, tirelessly advocating for equity, empowerment, and positive change.
