Passionate about student success, she spearheaded the eradication of $2 million in student debt for 14,000 students.

With over a decade of experience in education and a Masters in Education Policy from Columbia University, Aliya is dedicated to public education. As a Fulbright Scholar and former legislative advisor on the Board of Supervisors, she championed initiatives like "Ban the Box" to enhance access to education. Aliya also played a pivotal role in implementing the Free City College Program, providing tuition-free education for San Francisco residents.

Running for re-election, Aliya remains committed to advocating for students and ensuring that institutions like City College continue to serve as inclusive educational hubs. For more information, visit aliyachisti.com.
