Stephen Miller-Pitts

Stephen is a combat veteran, military spouse, father, educator, service-disabled small business owner, homeowner, and community activist. With a strong commitment to service, Stephen has dedicated his life to his faith, family, community, and nation.

After experiencing the loss of his brother, Jeremy, due to inadequate healthcare access and misdiagnosis, Stephen made the decision to join the military straight out of high school. Serving honorably, he was deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan before being medically retired in 2015. As a burn pit registry member, Stephen continues to advocate for veterans and their families, fighting for their rights and welfare.

As an educator at Virginia State University, Stephen focuses on equipping his students with the necessary tools to make a positive impact on the world. Having experienced firsthand the challenges of living paycheck to paycheck, he understands the financial strain of childcare expenses just to make ends meet. Unlike those who have inherited privileged positions, Stephen has worked hard to build his own successful small business and does not come from a family of millionaire developers.

Stephen's core principles of Access, Resources, and Equity guide him in addressing the concerns of constituents in District 75 and the wider Commonwealth. With a lifelong commitment to serving others, Stephen aims to ensure that everyone has equal opportunities and access to the resources they need to thrive.
