Amber Epling

Amber is a dedicated public servant leader with a diverse background in state and local government, policy analysis, higher education, strategic leadership communications, and journalism. As a mother of three daughters enrolled in the Worthington School District, she has a vested interest in preserving public education and empowering educators.

Amber is running for one of two open seats on the Worthington Board of Education with a clear vision to ensure that all students have access to quality education. She aims to protect marginalized communities, create equal opportunities for all, and prepare the district for the historic changes occurring in Central Ohio.

Under the campaign slogan "Our Schools. Our Legacy", Amber recognizes the transformational time for Worthington Schools and is committed to addressing pressing issues. She intends to focus on improving and expanding facilities while ensuring a fair tax burden on homeowners. Additionally, her goals include attracting and retaining talented staff members, reducing student-teacher ratios, enhancing mental health and special education services, and elevating the district's reputation to foster economic development. By doing so, Amber seeks to position Worthington Schools as a leader in public education on regional, state, and national levels.

Amber resides in Columbus with her husband, three daughters, and infant son, and they are proud to be an integral part of their community. Her passion, dedication, and comprehensive experience make her an excellent candidate for the Worthington Board of Education.
