Amber is a dedicated candidate running for the position of Hospital Commissioner of Public Hospital District #2 in Kirkland, Washington. With a strong commitment to the wellbeing of her community, Amber brings a passion for workers' rights to her campaign. Currently, Amber is employed as a Meatcutter apprentice in a local grocery store, where her outspoken nature and people-centric mindset led her to become actively involved with her union, UFCW 3000. She serves on their Racial Justice and Climate Justice advisory boards, which has opened her eyes to the profound connection between community, environment, health, and politics. When she learned about the upcoming election for the position of Hospital Commissioner, Amber felt a calling to run.

Having experienced firsthand the exceptional care provided by the hospital staff, Amber is motivated to create a work environment that enables them to thrive, ensuring they can continue delivering high-quality care to the community. Should she be elected, Amber would become the youngest current commissioner, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas to the table. She aims to prioritize the establishment of mental health services within the hospital and seeks to forge stronger community connections, ensuring that the hospital truly meets the needs of the district.
