Saira Draper

Saira is an attorney, voting rights expert, and the State Representative for Georgia House District 90 in Atlanta. She is dedicated to various legislative issues, including expanding economic opportunity, maternal health and reproductive freedom, gun safety, racial justice, environmental justice, improving public education, and voting rights.

As a state legislator, Saira is a prominent figure in democracy and electoral policy. With her expertise developed over multiple election cycles, Saira spearheaded the voter protection effort in Georgia for the campaigns of President Biden and Senators Ossoff and Warnock in 2020. Even after the election, she continued to work on the front lines, utilizing litigation, education, and organizing to combat efforts aimed at undermining election results and dismantling voting rights. In 2021, Saira joined forces to co-found Power the Vote, a non-profit organization that provides funding and support for year-round democracy protection work in battleground states.

Saira holds degrees from Georgia Tech and Georgetown Law. She is also a mother of three children, aged 8, 5, and 3.
