2023 Endorsement
Cassie is a writer, unapologetic fan of the Oxford comma, and is now running for District 1 City Council in Las Cruces, New Mexico. As a married mother of two young children, a business owner, and an active member of the community, she is dedicated to creating a thriving city with walkable and mixed-use infrastructure. Cassie strongly believes in giving residents a voice and providing them with an approachable way to connect with their local government.
In addition to her political aspirations, Cassie is an active volunteer. She has served on the city's Parks & Recreation Advisory Board for six years and holds memberships on the J. Paul Taylor Academy Governance Council, the Patron Board of the NPR-affiliate KRWG, and the NM Writers Board. Furthermore, she is proud to be a member of the National Writers Union.
Cassie has written the column "My So-Called Millennial Life" since 2016 in the local paper and, since 2020, has been nationally syndicated through the Creators Syndicate. She currently lives in Las Cruces after years spent traveling due to her father's career in the U.S. Air Force.
