Dustin, a Lebanon, VA native, has dedicated his career to making a positive impact in the community. With a strong background in prevention work, Dustin collaborates with various coalitions to address critical issues such as substance abuse, mental health, and chronic disease. Alongside this role, he also teaches prevention education programs and partners with schools on special projects. Not limiting himself to one field, Dustin is also an accomplished Realtor and currently serves as President of the Southwest Virginia Association of Realtors.
Growing up in Russell County, Dustin has always felt a deep connection to his hometown, and community service has become an integral part of his life. His exceptional dedication has been recognized through awards such as the 2013 President's Volunteer Service Award. Active involvement in organizations like the Russell County Rotary, where he served as Past President, and Chair of the Upper Tennessee River Roundtable, further highlight his commitment to making a difference.
Throughout his diverse career, Dustin has learned the importance of listening and empowering others to share their stories. This approach has shaped his belief that understanding the real issues faced by Russell County Public Schools is crucial. As a candidate for the At Large School Board member position, he aims to utilize his wide-ranging experiences to address these challenges and create meaningful change within the educational system.
