Denitra Moffett

Denitra is a candidate for Lycoming County Commissioner, driven by a desire to utilize her diverse experiences in service to her community. Previously serving as an Army Logistics Specialist, she played a crucial role in facilitating the movement of soldiers and equipment across the United States for deployment operations. Overshadowing her responsibilities was the management of a substantial budget exceeding $20 million, reflecting her commitment to fiscal responsibility.

Equipped with two degrees in paralegal studies, Denitra has immersed herself in various professional environments, including law firms and hospitals. This eclectic background has not only honed her analytical skills but also broadened her understanding of different industries.

Hailing from Mississippi, Denitra, along with her husband and two sons, relocated to Pennsylvania when her husband received a military job promotion. Currently enrolled in criminal justice at Penn State, she is fervently expanding her knowledge and skill set to better address the needs of her community.

If elected, Denitra has identified several key focus areas. Primarily, she aims to attract livable wage jobs to foster economic growth within Lycoming County, while simultaneously addressing the issue of affordable housing. Furthermore, she is eager to tackle the population decline that the county has been facing, devising innovative strategies to revitalize and invigorate the community.

With her unmatched dedication, academic achievements, and valuable experience in both military and civilian sectors, Denitra is poised to make a significant impact as Lycoming County Commissioner.
