Reed, a lifelong resident of Homer, is running to represent the Village of Homer on the Cortland County Legislature, District 10. With a focus on addressing pressing local challenges such as climate change, public safety, and the erosion of trust in political institutions, Reed takes a non-partisan approach to his candidacy.
Having obtained a degree from Colgate University, Reed plans to further his education by pursuing studies in Public Administration right here in Central New York. Currently, he works as a Substitute teacher and Theater Director in the Homer Central School District, utilizing his passion for education and the performing arts to contribute to his community. In addition to this, Reed serves as Co-Chair of the Cortland County Youth Board and volunteers with the Cortland County League of Women Voters.
Reed's dedication to public service extends beyond his professional responsibilities. Having interned with the County Legislature and worked in the City of Cortland Mayor's Office, he brings invaluable local government experience to the table. In his spare time, Reed enjoys performing on stage with the Center Players and going for leisurely walks around the village with his beloved pets, Gia and Phoebe.
