Cassi Benedict

Cassi is a dedicated public servant and a passionate advocate for her community. With a decade of residency in Sun Prairie, Cassi lives with her husband Alex, their two sons, and two beloved dogs. Her experience working for Wisconsin State agencies after college and her current role as a commissioner for the Sun Prairie Utilities Commission have equipped her with a deep understanding of governmental bureaucracies and the potential for positive impact that lies within local communities.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Cassi is an active member of her community. Her contributions include volunteering at her church to promote inclusivity, playing a pivotal role in organizing Sun Prairie's inaugural Pridefest in June 2023, and recently joining the city's housing coalition. Recognizing the challenges brought about by rapid growth and housing shortages, Cassi understands firsthand the importance of effective policies and zoning laws in ensuring affordable housing for all members of the community, from those experiencing homelessness to aspiring homeowners.

If elected, Cassi remains committed to uplifting the voices of those most underserved in our communities by working diligently on policies that address their needs. With her dedication, experience, and profound empathy, Cassi is poised to make a lasting difference as a District 4 City Council member in Sun Prairie.
