Katie is a dedicated former educator seeking re-election to the USD231 School Board. With a wide range of interests, she has been actively involved in numerous philanthropic endeavors, including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Drink Local Think Global, and Gardner Pride. Katie is a vocal advocate for student and teacher rights, championing causes such as special education and social-emotional learning. Her commitment to public education is unwavering, as she strives to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment for all students and teachers. Known for her compassionate leadership style and unwavering integrity, Katie is deeply committed to serving the community she calls home. Currently residing in Gardner, Kansas with her husband, son, two cats, and two dogs, Katie brings firsthand knowledge and understanding of the needs of her constituents.
