Benjamin Harman

Ben is a dedicated advocate for marginalized and disadvantaged communities. With a passion for equality and inclusion, Ben has been actively involved in various initiatives since his middle school years. Currently, he holds the esteemed position of Treasurer of the Board at Point Foundation, the largest LGBTQ+ scholarship organization. Additionally, Ben serves as a member of the Human Rights Commission for the City of Newburyport.

In pursuit of creating a positive impact at the neighborhood level, Ben is running for Ward 4 on the Newburyport City Council. With a strong commitment to his community, he aims to become a champion for issues that directly affect his constituents. His key focus areas include increasing the City's investment in youth services, addressing climate resilience and environmental concerns, and ensuring the availability of affordable housing for seniors and working families.

Driven by his desire to foster collaboration and progress, Ben seeks to find common ground in order to propel Newburyport forward. He believes in creating a thriving community that not only embraces diversity but also provides a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
