Kimberly, a candidate for Mayor of the City of Uvalde, TX, is a devoted mother and president of the non-profit organization Lives Robbed. Following a tragic mass shooting at Robb Elementary, which claimed the life of her daughter, Alexandria Aniyah "Lexi" Rubio, Kimberly has been actively working to address the issue of gun violence in America.
Raised in Uvalde, Kimberly has a deep-rooted connection to the community and a strong desire to enhance its opportunities while preserving its culture and history. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in public history from St. Mary's University in San Antonio.
Kimberly's notable achievements include her outstanding contributions in the field of journalism, where she has been recognized with multiple first- and second-place awards from esteemed organizations like the regional South Texas Press Association and statewide Texas Press Association.
Although this is her first foray into public office, Kimberly's passion for her community and determination to effect positive change make her an excellent candidate for Mayor of Uvalde.
