Arad Boxenbaum

Arad is an activist and advocate running for Illinois State Representative in the 83rd District Democratic Primary on March 19th, 2024. With a strong focus on gun violence prevention, pro-choice initiatives, and LGBTQ+ equality, Arad has been actively working to bring positive change to the Chicagoland area. Currently serving as Vice President on the Geneva Library Board and having collaborated with four members of Congress, Arad brings years of experience and expertise to the table.

In their role at Moms Demand Action's Illinois chapter, Arad played a key leadership role, working alongside Students Demand Action to create comprehensive advocacy plans. This led to hundreds of dedicated Moms Demand Action volunteers converging on Springfield to directly lobby elected leaders on three crucial bills aimed at curbing gun violence and ensuring safer streets.

Arad's commitment to community extends beyond gun violence prevention. They have been appointed to the prestigious Kane County Climate Action Planning Team, demonstrating a strong eagerness to contribute to effective climate action for the betterment of future generations.

With over seven years of experience in politics and government, Arad brings a wealth of expertise. Having served as a campaign manager and field organizer for successful political campaigns, they have also lent their talents to non-profit organizations and advocacy groups, helping them develop and implement effective advocacy strategies.

Arad excels in communication and organization, with a commendable track record of building strong coalitions and mobilizing grassroots support.
