Tanneshia Dukes

Tanneshia Dukes is a dedicated public servant and advocate for the community of North Carolina. With previous experience as an assistant principal and teacher in Guilford County Schools, Tanneshia understands the importance of working together to build a brighter future.

Running with the goal of equitable funding for public schools, safeguarding voting rights, continuing economic development in District 59, and promoting women’s health, particularly addressing the maternal mortality rate for women of color during childbirth, Tanneshia is committed to making a difference in the lives of all Guilford County residents. She firmly believes that the NC Legislature holds the power to enact positive change and is determined to be a voice for the working class.

As a proud North Carolina native, Tanneshia holds a deep love and appreciation for her home state. This is why she has decided to run for House District 59 – to ensure that her community becomes a place where everyone can thrive and where our children won't have to seek success elsewhere.
