Jeneba Barrie

Jeneba Barrie is running to become the next judge of the 282nd District Court in Dallas County, Texas. Born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, she immigrated to the United States at eight. Jeneba later lost her father to gun violence—an experience that fueled her commitment to justice. She went on to earn her law degree, serve as a prosecutor, and now works as a criminal defense attorney. Having seen both sides of the courtroom and lived its impact, Jeneba believes justice must be fair and compassionate.
