Athena Burciaga

Athena Burciaga is running for City Council in Marina, California, because she believes that local government should work for the people who live there — not outside interests. Raised by a working-class family, she is a community organizer who helped create CSUMB's Rainbow Raft Pride Center. Athena is running to protect rent stabilization in the city, keep water under public control against Cal Am privatization, and expand transit access — fighting for a Marina where renters and working families can stay and thrive.
