Ty’Relle, a passionate advocate for revitalizing Providence’s public schools, made history as Rhode Island’s youngest School Board Member at 20 years old in February 2021. With a solid background in educational leadership, including serving as Class President at the Juanita Sanchez Educational Complex and holding various roles on youth councils and committees, Ty’Relle brings a wealth of experience to his candidacy. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership at College Unbound while working at Perspectives Corporation, he continues to demonstrate his dedication to fostering positive change.

On the School Board, Ty’Relle serves as Vice Chair of the Finance Committee and is actively involved in the Health and Wellness and Policy Committees. His key priorities include advocating for innovative solutions to prevent the closure of neighborhood schools, addressing the teacher shortage through better salaries and working conditions, and ensuring equity, inclusion, and community engagement in the school system. Ty’Relle’s ultimate goal is to transform Providence’s schools into beacons of academic excellence and opportunity for all students.
