Eric John Roberts

Eric, MMC, is a law student at the University of Toledo and a former deputy clerk & elections director. With extensive experience as a poll worker in over 20 elections, Eric holds the prestigious title of Master Municipal Clerk, a distinction achieved by only about 60 individuals in Michigan. Equipped with a Graduate Certificate in Election Administration from the University of Minnesota, Eric is dedicated to ensuring the integrity and accessibility of Lodi's electoral processes. Elected at the age of 18 to the Kenowa Hills Public Schools Board of Education, he became the board's first LGBTQ+ member and spearheaded initiatives to provide all students in his community with WiFi access during the COVID pandemic. Recognized for his contributions, Eric received the esteemed President's Award of Recognition from the Michigan Association of School Boards. Actively involved in civic education, he serves as a Trustee and Past President of the Michigan Center for Civic Education, organizing the National High School Mock Trial Championships in Michigan for the first time in Kalamazoo in May 2022. A graduate of the Michigan Political Leadership Program, Eric is committed to enhancing civic understanding and developing effective public servants. In addition to his academic and civic pursuits, he owns and manages two small businesses: one that assigns officials for youth baseball and softball tournaments across Michigan, and another as a state-licensed charitable gaming supplier that facilitates poker events benefiting charities with anticipated proceeds of $80,000 to $100,000 in 2024.
