Kevin C. Kalkut

Kevin is a dedicated public servant with over 7 years of experience in various roles within his hometown of Norfolk, MA. He began his journey in local government as a member of the Norfolk Planning Board and later successfully ran for a seat on the Select Board. Currently serving his sixth year on the Select Board, with half of that time as Chair, Kevin also contributes his expertise to the Norfolk County Advisory Board and the Mass Transit Advisory Committee.

In 2022, Kevin proved his passion for public service by running for State Representative in his district. Despite facing a formidable challenge with a nearly 30-year single-party hold on the office, Kevin came impressively close to flipping the seat in the general election, falling short by just 0.87% or 360 votes. Undeterred by this outcome, Kevin recently announced his campaign for the same seat in the 2024 elections, eager to #FinishTheJob in a different political landscape.

As a candidate, Kevin prioritizes addressing key issues that directly affect the lives of the people in the 9th Norfolk District. His focus includes improving access to mental health care, advocating for more affordable housing options, reducing the financial burden on residents through increased state funding, and lowering the out-of-pocket costs of childcare. These priorities reflect Kevin's commitment to making a positive impact on his community.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Kevin cherishes spending quality time with his family. He and his wife Erica are the proud parents of three energetic boys: Colin (11), Ryan (9), and Owen (6). Kevin actively supports his children's interests by coaching their sports teams and, on a personal note, he is an avid fan of smoking brisket whenever an opportunity arises.
