Walter Garcia

Walter is a native of the Northeast San Fernando Valley, born to hardworking Mexican immigrant parents who sought to achieve the American Dream. With a strong commitment to his community, Walter is running for California State Assembly (District 43) drawing from his personal and professional experiences addressing critical issues such as homelessness and housing, environmental justice, public safety, and affordable health care. After completing his education in local public schools, Walter earned degrees from Brown University and the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, becoming the first in his family to accomplish high school, college, and law school graduation. Public service has always been Walter's passion, having had the honor of working alongside notable figures like President Barack Obama, U.S. Senator Kamala Harris, California Attorney General Rob Bonta, and many more. This experience, combined with his ties to the working class, uniquely equips Walter to make an immediate impact in office, leveraging his governmental expertise at the local, state, and national levels.
