Scotty Hernandez

Scotty is a dedicated real estate agent based in Oklahoma City (OKC). Born and raised in OKC, Scotty is passionate about his community and actively works to make a positive impact. Alongside his partner Derek and their three rescue dogs, Scotty proudly calls OKC his home.

Scotty is deeply committed to advocating for equality and inclusivity. He currently serves as the Oklahoma President of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, where he champions the rights and interests of the Hispanic community in the real estate industry. Additionally, he is the incoming President for PFLAG, an organization that promotes equality for LGBTQIA+ individuals. Scotty believes that everyone deserves equal opportunities and is dedicated to advancing this cause.

Having experienced the challenges that come with being a Hispanic student from a working-class background, Scotty understands the importance of education in shaping a successful future. With a staggering 90% of OKCPS students living in poverty, and nearly 60% of students being Hispanic, Scotty is determined to bring about positive change to the education system. He firmly believes that politics should not interfere with the classroom, instead focusing on providing critical services, resources for bilingual students, amplifying parental voices, and expanding educational options to meet a wider range of needs.

Through his various roles and community involvement, Scotty tirelessly works towards building a better future for all residents of OKC.
